REGIONAL PRICING

About

The WestConnect Steering Committee began investigating its members’ ability to offer transmission service at non-pancaked rates in 2005. Through a series of FERC discussions and filings, several Steering Committee transmission providers began offering hourly, non-firm transmission service under the WestConnect Regional Tariff in 2009.

Service continued on an experimental basis until 2013 when FERC approved the participants’ application to create a permanent WestConnect Regional Transmission tariff under the terms of the Pricing Participation Agreement.
